Turbo Tag is built on a simple promise: we do not want your data.
Who we are
Turbo Tag is a mobile racing game made by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Turbo Tag app and this website, turbotag.app.
What we collect
Nothing. The game has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or anything else.
What stays on your device
Your progress (coins, gems, gears, trophies, stars, unlocked cars and cosmetics, and settings) is saved in a small file on your device. It is never sent to us. The "Location" setting is a country you pick yourself; it is stored in that same file and used only to filter the leaderboard view on your device.
Moving to a new phone
Turbo Tag has no accounts and never sends your progress to us. That's on purpose: we don't want to collect anyone's data, not even a game save.
The compromise is that your progress lives on your phone. So that you can keep it when you change phones, the game lets Android include it in your phone's own backup, the one that belongs to your Google account. We can't see that backup, we can't open it, and nothing in it is sent to us.
- If backup is turned on in your phone's settings, Android backs up the game on its own, usually overnight while your phone is charging and on Wi-Fi.
- When you set up a new Android phone from that backup (or copy your old phone across during setup), or reinstall Turbo Tag on the same Google account, your progress comes back. Anything played since the last backup may not be included.
- It works from Android to Android only. It can't move progress to or from an iPhone.
- Don't want it? Turn off backup in your phone's Settings (usually under Google or System, then Backup). Your progress will then stay only on that phone.
Notifications
If you turn notifications on, they are scheduled by the game on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
Purchases
Any in-game purchases are handled by Google Play (or the Apple App Store). The store processes the payment and keeps the receipt; we never see your card or billing details. Parents can require approval for purchases in the store's family settings.
Advertising
This version of Turbo Tag shows no third-party adverts and includes no advertising or analytics software. If optional "watch an ad for a reward" features are added, they will use an advertising service approved for family audiences, and this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Children
Turbo Tag is designed to be safe for children. There is no chat and no way for players to contact each other. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing to share, sell or profile.
This website
turbotag.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. The font is served from this site itself. Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles your connection and may keep standard technical logs to keep the site secure and running.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear in the game and on this page, with the date of the change.
